Drop tests according to ISTA, DIN, EN, ISO, IEC, ASTM, and MIL-STD

We drop your packages – to protect the products inside!

Drop tests together with the subsequent impact simulate the shocks to which your parcel may be subjected during the transport process. Every day, millions of parcels are moved in Germany and not all of them arrive undamaged. We have special drop test equipment that can be used to check the fragility of packaged goods.
Before packages are dropped by accident or due to careless handling, we drop them in a controlled and documented manner. In accordance with DIN, EN, ISO, IEC, ASTM, MIL-STD and ISTA test programs, we perform drop tests for packages to simulate the shipping load and determine the load limit. Our approach is defined and repeatable, and our results can be reproduced at will. In this way, weak points can be detected and packages can be optimized as a precaution.

Drop tests are an important part of the audit sequence

In most cases, drop tests are embedded in a more comprehensive shipping simulation. We will be happy to discuss with you which of our recognized testing programs will ensure that your product reaches the recipient undamaged. If you don’t want to ship anything at all, but produce the shipping packages and need the best result for your own customers, you are just as right and in good hands with us. Everything that should drop, we drop it!

In order to submit the appropriate offer, we need the following information:

  • Dimensions and weight of the specimen
  • Does the customer sell through Amazon? (If so, does Amazon package its products in Amazon packaging, or does Amazon ship in the customer’s packaging and just stick a label on it?)
  • Is there already a standard according to which the test should be performed?
  • Is there already a preset drop height?
  • Are the contents a hazardous material?

The subject area of drop testing is often mixed with the subject area of shipping simulation. Our ambition is to offer every customer the correct test for them. Only the right test provides the right answer to pressing customer questions. We see ourselves as a partner to our customers and, as such, are happy to advise on the advantages of various testing standards.
